# drawArrow

*Command · GUI Control - Map · Arma 3 v0.50 · introduced in Armed Assault v1.00*

## Description

Draws a single line arrow on the map.
As this command needs to be called every frame, it is preferable using the [onDraw](../topics/User_Interface_Event_Handlers.md#ondraw) UI Event Handler.
To draw a color filled arrow of custom shape see [BIS_fnc_drawArrow](../functions/BIS_fnc_drawArrow.md).

## Syntax

```sqf
map drawArrow [from, to, color]
```

**Parameters:**

- `map`: [Control](../topics/Control.md)
- `from`: [Object](../topics/Object.md) or [Position2D](../topics/Position.md#introduction) or [Position3D](../topics/Position.md#introduction) - arrow start position
- `to`: [Object](../topics/Object.md) or [Position2D](../topics/Position.md#introduction) or [Position3D](../topics/Position.md#introduction) - arrow end position
- `color`: [Array](../topics/Array.md) - arrow color in format [r,g,b,a]

**Returns:** [Nothing](../topics/Nothing.md)
