# isAutoTrimOnRTD

*Command · RTD · Arma 3 v1.34*

## Description

Returns state of auto trim functionality. 

> [!NOTE]
> **afm:** For this command to have any effect, the Advanced Flight Model (AFM) has to be enabled. AFM status can be checked with [difficultyEnabledRTD](../commands/difficultyEnabledRTD.md).

## Syntax

```sqf
isAutoTrimOnRTD helicopter
```

**Parameters:**

- `helicopter`: [Object](../topics/Object.md)

**Returns:** [Boolean](../topics/Boolean.md) - returns [true](../commands/true.md) if auto trim is enabled

## Examples

### Example 1

```sqf
_state = isAutoTrimOnRTD _myHelicopter;
```
