# removeSimpleTask

## Description

Remove a simple task from the list of simple tasks.

> [!NOTE]
> If the [Task](../topics/Task.md) to be removed is a child to some parent task and at the same time the parent to some child task, the child of this task gets orphaned and is listed in the root of Tasks tree (Tasks menu), retaining tree structure of its children.

## Syntax

```sqf
person removeSimpleTask task
```

**Parameters:**

- `task`: [Task](../topics/Task.md)

**Returns:** [Nothing](../topics/Nothing.md)
