# setAccTime

*Command · Time · Arma 3 v0.50 · introduced in Operation Flashpoint v1.00*

## Description

Set simulation acceleration coefficient. May also be used to slow time in cutscenes.

## Syntax

```sqf
setAccTime accFactor
```

**Parameters:**

- `accFactor`: [Number](../topics/Number.md) - time factor; 2 will make time go twice as fast, 0.5 half of it, etc

**Returns:** [Nothing](../topics/Nothing.md)

## Examples

### Example 1

```sqf
setAccTime 0.1;
```

## Multiplayer

Command is disabled in multiplayer.

## Problems

This command is **not** clamped and incorrect values may be entered (negative values, high values, etc - game behaviour is then undefined).

## Community notes

*Notes from before the conversion:*

A good habit to get into is setting the [accTime](../commands/accTime.md) to 1 at the start of all cutscenes, in case the [player](../commands/player.md) is running at 4x speed when the scene starts.
