## Community notes

**PierreMGI** — 2020-05-27

Even if you set your difficulty with "waypoints: hide", if you are using [addWaypoint](../commands/addWaypoint.md) command for player, you will see your waypoints displayed on map, with the track to follow.
Some other cases using addWaypoint will allow this unexpected behaviour on map and the code `showWaypoints false;` will not change anything for map.

You need to use [showWaypoint](../commands/showWaypoint.md) command instead, on each added waypoints:

```sqf
_wp = group player addWaypoint [getMarkerPos "aMarker", 0];
_wp showWaypoint "NEVER";
```
