# BIS_fnc_configPath

*Function · Configs · Arma 3 v1.00*

## Description

Returns config path to given entry in given format.

## Syntax

```sqf
[config, format, strict] call BIS_fnc_configPath
```

**Parameters:**

- `config`: [Array](../topics/Array.md), [String](../topics/String.md) or [Config](../topics/Config.md) - input config
- `format`: [Array](../topics/Array.md), [String](../topics/String.md) or [Config](../topics/Config.md) - (Optional, default `[]` or `configNull` if *config* is [Array](../topics/Array.md) - see [#Example 1](../functions/BIS_fnc_configPath.md#example-1)) desired format of output
- `strict`: [Boolean](../topics/Boolean.md) - (Optional, default [false](../commands/false.md)) if false, the function will not attempt to construct a valid config before certain format conversions (see [#Example 2](../functions/BIS_fnc_configPath.md#example-2)).
  Set this param to [true](../commands/true.md) to invoke the strict mode

**Returns:** [Array](../topics/Array.md), [String](../topics/String.md) or [Config](../topics/Config.md)
