# BIS_fnc_isLeapYear

## Description

Returns true if given year is a leap year, otherwise false.

## Syntax

```sqf
year call BIS_fnc_isLeapYear
```

**Parameters:**

- `year`: [Number](../topics/Number.md) - a non-decimal number (a.k.a integer)

**Returns:** [Boolean](../topics/Boolean.md)

## Examples

### Example 1

```sqf
private _isLeapYear = 2035 call BIS_fnc_isLeapYear;
```

### Example 2

```sqf
private _isLeapYear = 2036 call BIS_fnc_isLeapYear; // 2036 is a leap year
```
