# BIS_fnc_kbTopicConfig

## Description

Reads the [configs](../topics/Config.md) to return a matching `config >> CfgSentences >> missionName >> topic` entry.

> [Config](../topics/Config.md)s are checked in that order: [configFile](../commands/configFile.md), [campaignConfigFile](../commands/campaignConfigFile.md), [missionConfigFile](../commands/missionConfigFile.md).

> [!IMPORTANT]
> This function is intended to be used by [BIS_fnc_kbTell](../functions/BIS_fnc_kbTell.md) only.

## Syntax

```sqf
[missionName, topic] call BIS_fnc_kbTopicConfig
```

**Parameters:**

- `missionName`: [String](../topics/String.md)
- `topic`: [String](../topics/String.md)

**Returns:** [Config](../topics/Config.md) - the topic's config entry. [nil](../commands/nil.md) on error or not found

private _configTopic = ["missionName", "topic"] call BIS_fnc_kbTopicConfig;
